When i say rock in the 60's What comes to your mind,quick the memories.Personaly i remember the birth of the rock fest 1969 august on max yasgards farm,WOODSTOCK.It started as an infant in the 50'sBut you can point out what rock an life had in common.The summer of love 67'.The beatles in NY city Drugs ,love flower children.Altamont speedway's violent version of woodstock,thanks STONES.The monteray pop fest,jimi &,janis,I could go on & on.But lets get to the point.The 70's and the birth of METAL,hard rock,theres no way to forget Zeppelin,Pink Floyd;'s Dark Side of the moon.Bands like kiss,Aerosmyth,AC-DC,Van Hallen,The Eagles,And who did'nt have frampton comes alive?The birth of the arena show.And the battle with disco,rip disco.a definition of a decade is my point.As the 70's were ending a sperm from NY,and anegg from London made a baby Called Punk,New Wave every garage in every town had a sceen & band.Some became mainstream some were,HARDCORE violence that was not violen at all just roughhousing,with the guys in the sceen.But again a decade was defined in song a black eye at a black flag show was a badge of honor.Things cooled off until,The Smell of teen spirit and B.O from grungeie kids like perl jam and alice in chains,chilli peppers,brought us into the 90's,STP,Blackhole sun was fun & lalapaloosa & the new woodstock,the 90'shave thair page in the history of rock,OZZY started a fest now in its 15th year?metal will never die.Now THE TURN of the CENTURY.Whats up ill tell you its not ROCK the black eyed peasNOT ROCK hipidy hop shit ;pop,pop SHIT not rock.So im looking at the line up this year for SoCals anual fest o' rock in the desert called COACHELLA the line up containsPIL, thats johnny rotten's band neil youn even said its better to burn out than fade away.Burnout's headlining major fests,rock and roll will never die until all the major bands do.Of all concerts this year #1 $ makers Stones,U2,Police.THE RETURN of the living DEAD.Shame on US for letting rock die.Out of the blue and into the black johnny rotten is comming back?And the Grammys well it should be changed to the R&B wife beaters of music awards.What can we say about our beloved ROCK&ROLL?Tell me the WHO in thair late 60's years old is ROCK DEAD?
